Who can play?

Students entering, Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, or 3rd grade in the fall of 2025. Teams will be made up primarily of students attending Millard North feeder elementary schools, but any child with a desire to play football is encouraged to join the Junior Mustangs.

Who will they play?

The Junior Mustangs will participate as an independent member of the Elkhorn Athletic League and play other teams at their grade level.

Where will they play?

Practices will be at Aldrich Elementary, Cottonwood Elementary and Abbott Elementary.

Games will be played on Sundays at the Elkhorn High School practice turf.

When will they play?

Games will be on Sundays. Practices will be Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. Coaches will determine length of practice time.

$170 due by June 1

What’s included?

  • Junior Mustangs Game Uniform
  • 8-9 MYFL League flag football games. All games will have two officials.
  • 2 practices per week at local neighborhood schools
  • Practice visits from Millard North varsity football players and/or coaches
  • Practice plans designed by Millard North football coaching staff

Frequently Asked Questions

Should my son go to both days of tryouts? (5th-8th grades only)
We offer two session dates to ensure they receive the best evaluation possible and/or if there is a conflict with one of the tryout dates. We encourage players to go to both sessions!
Will we know which team my son will be on after tryouts?
We typically assign players to teams in the Fall at the beginning of the season. Players will at times improve and we want to make sure your player is on the correct team and at the proper level for the development!
Who will be my son's coach?
We assign most coaches in the Fall based on team assignment. The Junior Mustangs Director has final say and is involved throughout the tryout process.
